Our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains the return, refund, cancellation, and exchange conditions for purchases made through LibertyLaneFilms.com and other online storefronts operated by Liberty Lane Films.
Our shop includes physical merchandise, digital and creative services, gift cards, and products supporting independent film productions. Because these offerings differ, their cancellation and refund conditions may also differ.
1. General Policy
Unless otherwise specified in a product listing or required by applicable law, all sales are considered final once a purchase is completed. We nevertheless provide limited cancellation, exchange, and refund options as described below. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Order Cancellation
Customers may request cancellation within 24 hours of placing an order. A cancellation request does not guarantee cancellation if an order has already been shipped, fulfilled, downloaded, personalized, or substantially performed. We will review timely requests and advise whether cancellation remains possible.

3. Physical Merchandise
Most physical merchandise is final sale unless it arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. Customers should inspect merchandise promptly after delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, when reasonably possible.
Please include:
Your name and order number.
A description of the problem.
Photographs of the item and packaging, where relevant.
Your preferred resolution.
We may offer a replacement, exchange, refund, or other appropriate remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Failure to report a problem within 48 hours does not eliminate any non-waivable statutory rights.
4. Return Authorization
Please contact Liberty Lane Films before shipping merchandise back. If a return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted. Customers are generally responsible for return shipping on approved discretionary returns. If the return results from our error or a defective product, return-shipping responsibility will be determined under the applicable circumstances and law.
5. Personalized and Made-to-Order Products
Personalized, customized, and made-to-order merchandise is generally not eligible for discretionary returns once production begins. This does not affect remedies for defective, damaged, incorrect, or misrepresented products where applicable.
6. Digital Products and Creative Services
Digital products, downloadable materials, assessments, and other creative services may have different fulfillment conditions from physical merchandise. Once a digital deliverable has been provided or substantial work has begun, refunds may be limited according to the applicable product description or service agreement, subject to law. For professional services purchased through Liberty Lane Digital, the relevant service description, proposal, agreement, or statement of work may establish additional cancellation, scope, revision, and payment terms.
Where a signed agreement applies, its terms govern the specific engagement to the extent legally permissible.
7. Crowdfunding and Film Backer Purchases
Purchases supporting independent film productions generally fund development, filming, post-production, and other production-related expenses. These purchases are generally non-refundable once processed, except where expressly required by law or provided in the applicable offering terms. If an offering includes a physical perk, that merchandise remains subject to the applicable provisions of this policy.
A crowdfunding purchase does not automatically establish ownership of a film, an investment interest, or entitlement to financial returns.
Production schedules and supporter-benefit delivery dates may change as the project develops.
8. Gift Cards
Gift cards are not generally redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law. Expiration, redemption, refund, and other gift-card terms are subject to the applicable product conditions and consumer-protection laws. California gift-card protections apply where legally applicable.
9. Equity Investments
Film equity investments are not ordinary retail merchandise or crowdfunding purchases. Any equity investment must be governed by a separately executed investment agreement and applicable securities law. Investment contributions, withdrawals, transfers, and distributions are controlled by the relevant contractual and legal terms. The ordinary merchandise cancellation and return procedures described on this page do not govern such investments.
10. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved, we will normally issue it through the original payment method, where possible. Processing times may depend on payment providers and financial institutions. Where appropriate and agreed, store credit may be offered instead. Discretionary promotional store credit issued under this policy may carry a stated validity period, except where a longer period or different treatment is required by law or the applicable product terms.
Purchased gift cards and other credits subject to California gift-certificate protections are governed by those protections rather than any shorter discretionary promotional-credit period.
11. Shipping and Fulfillment
Shipping costs, fulfillment schedules, and delivery methods may vary by product. Shipping and handling charges are generally non-refundable except where a refund is required by law or results from our error. We are not responsible for incorrect delivery information submitted by a purchaser, subject to applicable consumer rights and shipping-provider obligations.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as products, services, and legal requirements change. Any revised policy will display an updated date. Changes will not retroactively eliminate rights that applied to an existing purchase.
