HONORING THE LIVES, COMMUNITY AND RESISTANCE OF OUR BLACK TRANS ELDERS WHO HELPED SHAPE GENERATIONS OF QUEER AND TRANS LIBERATION
Coming Soon
Aging with Pride 2026 was initially scheduled to take place in June 2026, but due to a death in J’s immediate family, we postponed it until later in the year. Join J, Averaii and a very special guest for dinner and conversation at Manny’s in The Mission.
The Black trans elders who built movements, created and nurtured communities, and expanded the possibilities of queer and trans liberation are more than figures in our history. They are the architects of our present.
Their lives, voices, and experiences are part of our living history. Their stories don’t just deserve to be heard—they need to be heard. The contributions of the trans community—especially the Black trans community—need to be celebrated, their futures protected, and their lessons shared with the world.
